Juventus supporters’ fight to keep Alvaro Morata in Turin has reached another level after they asked his girlfriend to plead with the Spaniard to stay put.
Morata dedicated his Coppa Italia winning goal on Saturday to his new girlfriend, putting behind him a poor start to the season that was apparently down to girl trouble playing on his emotions.
Now that the regular season is over and the transfer window can start, Bianconeri fans are desperate to see their Spanish striker stay and have reached out to his new flame personally.
“Only you can convince him to stay,” was the prevailing message that some of the Old Lady’s following contingent went with on social media, hoping that it would make a difference to the player’s future.
Alice Campello, Morata’s Venetian model partner, is also smitten in her relationship and made similar gestures in return to her boyfriend dedicating his goal to her.
Premier League giants Arsenal are heavily linked with a move for the former Real Madrid forward, with reports in England claiming that Arsene Wenger is ready to make him the club’s highest paid player.
Since arriving at the Juventus Stadium in 2014, Morata has been a revelation for the Serie A champions with his goals and workrate helping to secure back to back league and cup doubles.
