Juventus are poised to sign Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain in a stunning €94m deal, reports The Guardian.
Higuain, 28, has been regularly linked with a move away from Napoli this summer with Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Juventus all among those chasing the striker’s signature.
However, Juventus have won the race to sign the Argentina international after matching his staggering release clause and the forward is due to undergo his medical with the club before signing a four-year deal.
Juventus’ ability to shatter their club transfer record would also indicate that Manchester United are close to signing Paul Pogba for a world record fee.
Higuain has scored at least 16 more goals than any other player in Serie A over the last two seasons (54).
