Stories circulating about the legal dispute between Nike and Juventus have been unlawfully published in so much as they violate the obligation of confidentiality in effect for the dispute, which is governed by UNCITRAL regulations. In the wake of these stories, the club would like to make it clear that:
- The figure it will have to pay is considerably less than €2 million.
- The figure has nothing to do with the “30 sul campo” initiative, which in fact generated commercial benefit for Nike, as recognised by the arbitration panel.
- Juventus reserves all rights and actions, including an appeal of the arbitration panel’s verdict.
