A true Juventus great both on and off the field, Pavel Nedved celebrates his birthday today for the first time since becoming vice president last autumn.
The former Czech international’s association with the club was born 15 years ago upon his arrival from Serie A rivals Lazio, against whom the Bianconeri played and triumphed last Saturday at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
Spectacularly skilful, powerful, decisive in the final third and unrelenting in his willingness to win during his days as a winger, Nedved established himself as a firm favourite among fans from the word go in Turin, as he embodied all of the core qualities that have helped to make the club great over the years.
Never one to shy away from responsibility, the man who represented the Old Lady with such distinction on the pitch is very much doing his part to shape a victorious present and future off it, taking on the role of vice president on 23 October 2015.
Speaking at the time of his proud appointment, Nedved glowed: “As the years have gone by I’ve been able to see how a great club is managed. I’m fired up to defend our colours."
Indeed, his passion for all things Bianconero continues to shine as bright as ever, as he helps to steer the club to new, memorable milestones.
