Paulo Dybala is impressed by the new-look Juventus and believes “this team is on the same level as Europe’s top clubs.”
The Bianconeri have won all three of their Serie A games so far this season, crushing Sassuolo 3-1 Saturday night.
“The Coach asks me to stay close to the midfielders and help my teammates emerge with the ball at their feet,” La Joya told Sky Sport Italia.
“I like this role, as we have so much quality and it’s easy to find a one-two pass. We are trying to improve our passing, as there are so many technically gifted players that we ought to make the most of it.
“I get along very well with Gonzalo Higuain and it’s easy to play alongside him considering his movements. I think we can both play with Mario Mandzukic as well, I already said after the test against Espanyol that it’s up to the Coach.
“We are accustomed to 3-5-2, but we can change at times. The Coach told us to be fired up and pressure the opposition straight away. At times we get a little lazy and conceded an avoidable goal against Sassuolo. At 3-0 it would’ve been easier, so we need to work on that.”
Juventus begin their Champions League campaign against Sevilla on Wednesday evening.
“I can’t wait to play in the Champions League. I think this team is on the same level as Europe’s top clubs and I thought that last year too.
“We have had a great journey and last term were only a few seconds away from eliminating Bayern Munich. We brought in players who are tactically and technically impressive, so with the right mentality we can go far.
“Last year the defeat to Sevilla cost us first place in the group, which I think we deserved to get, but now we have to forget that and remember when we beat them in Turin 2-0. We’ve got great strikers and can hurt the Spaniards.”
