The Partenopei are in the market for another central midfielder and have identified, Pereyra, who has been out of favour in Turin.
Argentina international Pereyra is set to depart for the Azzurri after Juventus accepted an offer of €18 million plus bonuses, having compromised on their initial demand of €20 million.
Napoli are thought to be close to agreeing personal terms with the former Udinese midfielder, who is keen to make the move in order to play regular first team football.
The deal will see Pereyra’s time with the Bianconeri come to a close after two seasons and 68 appearances, during which he scored two goals en route to consecutive Serie A titles and Coppa Italias, as well as a Champions League final.
Pereyra will become Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri’s second summer signing, having already completed the purchase of Lorenzo Tonelli from Empoli.
