Juventus remain confident they will beat Chelsea to Andre Gomes' signature - despite Valencia demanding £46.5million for the midfielder.
That is according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who claim Juve are not giving up the chase to secure the Portugal international.
Gomes is said to have a number of suitors, with Sky Sports claiming Chelsea have had a£32m bid for the star rejected.
Juve are willing to match that bid but also throw in bonuses and add-ons to incentivise the move.
New Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is also supposedly a fan of Gomes.
The 22-year-old has been on United's radar since before Mourinho joined the club a month ago but the manager appears open to signing his compatriot.
However, the report claims Juve are getting closer to a deal after reportedly agreeing Gomes' personal terms with agent Jorge Mendes.
Talks with Valencia are said to be slow but ongoing and Juve hope to secure a deal that could help convince star man Paul Pogba to remain in Turin.
As for Chelsea, the Blues are unlikely to conclude any deals before manager Antonio Conte arrives in west London following his campaign with Italy at Euro 2016.
