The Bosnian playmaker has joined the Bianconeri in a €32m deal, causing outrage among supporters of the capital club.
“I’ve had a progressive career,” Pjanic explained to mercato365.
“I’ve advanced step-by-step, without ever wanting to make too big a leap too quickly. I think this is a good time for a change of atmosphere and to go to a very big club like Juventus.
“I want to win, and I’m really hungry for trophies, so I hope to do that with this very strong team.
“I’m not putting pressure on myself. I’m aware of the players who have gone before me like [Andrea] Pirlo, [Zinedine] Zidane or [Michel] Platini - extraordinary players for a historic club.
“I want to repay the directors’ confidence in me, because they really wanted me. I’m in my best years as a footballer and I hope to progress further at Juventus.”
