Wolfsburg are taking concrete steps toward signing Juventus striker Simone Zaza during this summer’s transfer window.
On Tuesday, the Bundesliga outfit made a formal offer of €20 million to the Bianconeri for the Italian attacker, who scored five goals in 19 Serie A appearances last season and is currently representing his country at Euro 2016.
However, that sum may not be enough to for the German outfit to acquire the footballer, as the Old Lady are said to want at least €25m.
Juventus, who signed Miralem Pjanic from Roma last week, have so far been active during the summer transfer window.
However, the recent Scudetto winners said goodbye to Alvaro Morata on Tuesday as he will return to Real Madrid, and as a result they are now in need of more attacking depth.
Losing Zaza would decrease the Old Lady’s options up front to just Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala.
